Historical notes

Splendid estate of the Eighteenth century, Villa Mimma has been named after the memory of Camilla Fasano, mother of the current owners and relative of the Fasano Family, whose memories reach far back to the Eighteenth century.

The Council advisor Paolo Fasano in 1772 promoted the initiative of building the current parish Church, and in the following years, from 1833 until 1881, Felice Fasano, famous doctor, was contributing to the life of Treville as teacher and Council Secretary. The paintings of Villa Mimma's main living room were realised in this period.

His sons, Domiziano and Federico (Grand grandfather of the current owners) in different times became Majors of the village. The activity of administering the village continued with Domiziano's son, Giovanni, who was Major until 1935. Among Federico's children there was Carlo, who made Treville renowned with the production of highly commendable wines, worth of national prises at wine shows.

Worth mentioning, also, in the huge cellar of Villa Mimma are the "infernot", small cellars excavated in the tufa stone, still preserving very old bottles of wine, the classic sculpture in the tufa stone, representing the truffle dog at the feet of a man cheering with the wine, and the old mill with the stone base.
