"The four evenings of the infernot"

18th - 22nd March 2008 (closing date 4th March)

The "infernot" is the typical Monferrato (Piedmont) cellar excavated in the limestone. We propose four evenings in the best cellars of the area where you can visit the wineries, sample and learn more about the Monferrato wines lead by a professional sommelier. Each evening you will also have the opportunity to taste the local products and cuisine.

On the last night, there will be a sit-down dinner with entertainment too - all about wine and food!

Price for the "Four evenings of the infernot": €260 per person (including wine and food tasting + the last evening dinner and entertainment). An additional cost may be charged if the group needs an interpreter.

Price for the accommodation (4 nights, double occupancy) plus breakfast: €100 per person.

"La Cantina dei Presepi" - "The Cellar of the Nativities"

During the Christmas period Villa Mimma will re-open its centuries-old cellar to the public to admire "The Cellar of the Nativities" by Andrea Gandini. 

On Sunday 23^rd of December 2007 Don Franco, parish

priest of Treville, led the opening ceremony, blessing the nativities scenes created amongst dusty bottles, demijohns and old wine making equipment. Several people were present from the Treville and surrounding areas. The cellar of the nativities is open every day between 3pm and 6pm until Sunday the 6^th of January 2008.  From the 7^th to the 31^st of January 2008, it is possible to visit the cellar by appointment (please call in advance -  tel 0147 487953).

Cella Monte (3 km from Treville).

The XVI edition of this festival will include the traditional conference, the market-exhibition of truffles with sale of typical products and the Pro Loco cooking with season dishes of the Monferrato tradition that can be sampled by the visitors.  

Villa Mimma has once more taken part in the festival by displaying art and crafts from local artists In particular we had exibitions from:

• Antica Edilizia di Gianmaria Sabatini;
• I "Subiët 'd Patro" di Primo Favarin;
• Sculture in legno di Laura Barbesino;
• Monili in rame di Silvia Boltri.

The program of the festival was rich and intense throughout the day, with entarteinment such as the jazz concert, the puppet show for the children (and non!), paintings exibitions throughout the  street of the village, food and wine tasting opportunities.

The "Club of Papillon" organises a festival of food, wine and traditions of the Monferrato region. The venue is shared between the beautiful Camino Castle and Pallori Palace in  Vignale Monferrato. Shuttle buses will be driving people between locations. Cellars will be opened to the public and many restaurants will offer special menues for this event. 2006 Events

23rd December 2006 - 6th January 2007: 

"La Cantina dei Presepi" ("The Cellar of the Nativities") of Andrea Gandini.

During the Christmas period Villa Mimma opened its centuries-old cellar to the public to admire "The Cellar of the Nativities" of Andrea Gandini. Andrea has had the passion for arranging nativity scenes since he was a young boy and has cultivated this hobby for years, making it into a form of art. Using statues of different origins and materials of different sorts and kinds he manages to capture and express the true meaning of Christmas. This year he has overcome himself by arranging a scene using wine making tools and bottles that laid unused for decades in Villa Mimma's cellar. Have a taste of what it was like!

17th September: "Fifty years in the parish of Treville"

Don Franco Deambrogio celebrated 50 years in the parish of Treville with a special Mass at 4pm in the Parish Church. The choir of St. Cecilia of Hunsborn (Paderborn)  back in Treville after 10 years to sing at this special celebration.
